Empowering the next generation of change-makers: FIDA–Ghana and UNFPA strengthen youth leadership through the Youth Justice Advocates Training Programme.

The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA–Ghana), in collaboration with UNFPA, successfully organized a Youth Justice Advocates Training Programme aimed at empowering young people to promote fairness, human rights, and positive change within their communities.

The training provided participants with a practical understanding of justice, human rights, and the law, while also strengthening their confidence, leadership, and communication skills. Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and real-life examples, participants were encouraged to freely share ideas and engage in meaningful conversations around justice and equality.

Participants were also equipped with the skills to speak up for themselves and others in safe, respectful ways, reinforcing the role of young people as powerful agents of justice and social change.

The programme concluded with participants being encouraged to apply their knowledge as Youth Justice Advocates, promoting fairness, equality, and respect for human rights among their peers and within their communities.

FIDA–Ghana remains committed to youth empowerment and advancing access to justice and continues to work with partners such as UNFPA to build a more just and inclusive society.
