Training of FIDA paralegals from the Eastern and Volta Regions on access to justice for Adolescent girls with support from UNFPA
Access to Justice for Adolescents training organized for FIDA trained Paralegals with support from UNFPA.
On 7th September 2026, FIDA Ghana trained paralegals from the Volta and the Eastern regions on adolescent access to justice. It was an engaging program, focused on promoting awareness and strengthening understanding of adolescents’ rights and access to justice.
The session provided a platform to discuss key challenges adolescents face, including limited awareness of their rights, reporting barriers, legal representation, child protection, gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and access to appropriate referral and support services.
The programme also strengthened participants’ capacity to provide safe, child-friendly, confidential and appropriate support to adolescents seeking justice.
Together, we continue to work towards a justice system where every adolescent knows their rights, can speak up safely, and has access to the support and protection they need.
